About this free domain IP finder

Every website lives at one or more IP addresses, and DNS is what translates a friendly domain name into those numbers. This tool asks the DNS directly for a domain's A (IPv4) and AAAA (IPv6) records over an encrypted connection, so you always get the current, real answer.

It is handy for debugging, checking whether a domain points at the right server after a migration, or confirming that a CDN is in front of a site. Free, unlimited, no sign-up.

FAQs

Why does the IP address differ from my web host's server IP?

Most big sites sit behind a CDN or firewall such as Cloudflare. The public DNS then shows the CDN's edge IP addresses, not the origin server — which is deliberate, to protect the real server.

Can this tool reveal a website's real origin server IP?

Not reliably. When a site is properly protected by a CDN, its origin IP is hidden by design. Any IP you see in that case belongs to the CDN, not the host.

What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?

IPv4 addresses (like 93.184.216.34) are the classic format; IPv6 addresses are longer and newer. This tool shows both when a domain publishes them — many sites list several of each for redundancy.

Where does the data come from?

From live DNS queries over encrypted HTTPS, so the IP addresses shown are the ones the internet is using for that domain right now.
